GENERAL FORUM RULES:

Alternate Power DIY is an open community, where members can freely discuss alternative power, do-it-yourself methods, environment, and pretty much all things “green." However, it is just as important that we keep a friendly and welcome atmosphere, so everyone must follow the following guidelines. Failure to abide by these guidelines may result in disciplinary action by Alternate Power DIY moderators & administrators.

This Forum is Private Property.

-Users of this forum are welcome guests and participants. Paid memberships do not entitle anyone to be vulgar, profane, or offensive. We reserve the right to revoke user accounts or permissions at any time for any reason. Alternate Power DIY moderators & administrators have “carte blanche authority” in regard to altering these rules and disciplinary action. Disciplinary action may include (but is not limited to) post/thread removal, temporary ban, or permanent ban.

Advertising of any kind on threads for your own website, products, services, etc. is not allowed without prior approval from Alternate Power DIY administrators.

We have a forum specifically for that (Resources), and is included as a paid membership option. If you are interested in promoting your products, please contact us about advertising opportunities.

Communicating With Staff

- Please report any offensive content or abuse of these guidelines to Alternate Power DIY staff.

No text over size 3 is allowed, even if your signature uses only one line.

- Colored, flashing, or otherwise distracting signatures or user profile information is not allowed and may be removed at the discretion of Alternate Power DIY staff.

- Signature lines are not permitted to include embedded coding (except for web links and visually manipulating text), attachments, links which trigger a download or any other kind of disruptive or invasive action.

- Signature lines should not have political, combative, racist or any other kind of commentary which may offend others.

- Posting videos of any kind into signatures is not allowed.

- Members are not permitted to quote other members in their signatures for any reason.

- No profanities in any portion of a user's title, signature, location, etc.

———-

THE BOTTOM LINE…

All are welcome here, and what's fair is that everyone feel welcome.

It is perfectly okay to disagree; that's simply part of what makes a good discussion. Alternative power, environmental topics, and the “green” movement are certainly no exception. Some will be in favor of an idea… some opposed… and some who are yet ambiguous.

But just remember to keep it respectful, civil, and polite. Respect the differing opinions of others- they're entitled to it. Rude, abusive, or offensive content will not be tolerated.

…And most importantly…

Enjoy yourself and your community!
